If you are experiencing a sewer blockage on your property, report the problem to us to investigate before you call a plumber. If we find a problem within Council's main, we will clear the blockage at no charge to you. If we discover the problem is within your property, we will advise you to contact a plumber.

Signs of a blocked sewer may include:

  • Toilets, basins, baths or tubs are slow to empty or make gurgling noises
  • Toilets fill higher than usual or overflow
  • Yard gully overflows when the toilet is flushed or when basins or baths are released

Step 2.Report a non-urgent sewer blockage

To initiate an investigation of the Council sewer mains, submit our online maintenance request form below. The link below will take you to Council's online request management platform.

You will be asked to attach a photo or video of the issue.
