Make a payment arrangement

We understand that customers may at times experience financial difficulty and find themselves with an outstanding amount owing on their water account. If this is you, contact us to discuss your situation. By speaking with us, we can review your situation and together agree on a solution.

Overdue accounts not only accrue interest, but they can also lead to flow restriction. Entering a formal payment arrangement can help you make manageable payments to avoid flow restriction.

Please note: Under the Local Government Act, interest will continue to accrue on any outstanding balances. In 2024/2025, the interest rate is 10.5% per annum, calculated daily.

More information

Open the tabs below to find out what happens if you break an arrangement, and what it means to have the water to your property restricted.

What happens if I break the arrangement?

If you are having difficulty maintaining the arrangement, we need to know. Failure to maintain the agreement or communicate with us may lead to:

  • Legal action, and/or
  • Restriction of water supply to the property

Further fees are associated with these actions.

What is flow restriction?

Flow restriction involves significantly reducing the water supply to a property allowing only a very small amount of water for basic health and hygiene purposes.

Flow restriction to a property may occur if:

  • An account remains unpaid and all attempts to engage with an owner have been exhausted; and
  • The property owner has made no attempt to rectify the outstanding amount.
