Account Payment Options

We understand that customers seek a range of alternatives in which to pay bills so we’ve introduced a number of convenient payment options and means that will suit most situations.

Payment Options

When making a payment on your Water Account, be sure to use the correct Biller Code and Reference Number. Highlighted in yellow, this can be found in the lower right-hand corner of your account. 

Direct Debit

Setting up direct debit payments gives you the freedom to pay your bills from your bank account the way you want to. You can choose to make weekly, fortnightly or monthly payments to spread the cost out over the year, or select to have your total bill direct debited as it arrives, four times a year. By setting up smaller more regular payments towards your bills you can avoid having to pay a lump sum.

To register for Shoalhaven Water's Direct Debit service, simply follow this link to our online Direct Debit Registration. Here you can register or update your bank details, or cancel the direct debit service. 

Don't forget to make sure all your Bank Account details are up to date when you complete the online service request. 

Please note that Direct Debit payments cannot be made by Credit Card. 

Separate forms are submitted if you wish to have a direct debit in place for both your Rates and Water Accounts. Follow this link to sign up for Shoalhaven City Council's Rates Direct Debit Request.


Log onto your online, mobile or phone bank and pay your account using your Biller Code and Reference number. Payments can be made from your cheque, savings, debit, credit card or transaction account. For more information visit

What is BPAY View?

With BPAY View your bills and statements are sent straight to your online or mobile bank. This is not a payment method but the option offers email or SMS reminders helping you to not miss a payment.

Credit Card

  • Pay by Credit Card over the phone – call 1300 004 431 (select option 2 for water payment) 
  • Follow the link to Pay Online using Credit Card 

Note: A surcharge applies to credit card payments. American Express and Diners Club cards are not accepted.


Centrepay is a convenient and easy to use system that allows you to make regular deductions from your Centrelink payment. Customers can manage deductions through myGov, ExpressPlus Centrelink mobile app or they can contact Centrelink in person or by phone.

For Shoalhaven Water account payments you will need:

  • Shoalhaven Water reference number 555-071-469-B 
  • Your 8 digit reference number from your account, beginning with a 6

In person

  • Nowra Council Administration Office – Bridge Road Nowra 
  • Ulladulla Council Administration Office – Deering Street Ulladulla 
  • Any Australia Post Office – part or full payment accepted.
