Declaration as non-discharger

Shoalhaven Water is responsible for assessing business activities and issuing approvals for discharging liquid trade waste into Council's sewerage system.

In some instances, commercial properties may be required to provide a declaration that no liquid trade waste is being discharged into the sewerage system, particularly if it is part of a development consent.

Steps to declare

Before your start

Have your documentation ready to upload

To complete your application, you will need:

  • A drainage diagram indicating all drains present in and around the premises
  • A list of all chemical substances stored onsite
  • A copy of the owners consent (if the property is leased)

These documents can be attached in jpg or pdf format.

How to declare

What happens next

We will review the declaration and assess the proposed business activity.

If we are satisfied that no liquid trade waste is being discharged into the sewerage system, we will issue an acknowledgement of non-discharger status.
