St Anns Street Mains Replacement
Shoalhaven Water, as Council’s Water and Sewer Utility, are currently replacing two sewer rising mains which feed into the Nowra Sewerage Treatment Plant. This work is a continuation of the Southern Incoming Mains project which planned to upgrade all sewer rising mains entering the new Nowra Treatment Plant.

The first stage of the project has included the replacement of approximately 3km of aged sewer main which transports raw sewage from a large area in West Nowra (including the UOW) via a pumping station at the western end of St Anns Street to the recently upgraded Nowra sewage treatment plant. The rising main has been upgraded in size to cater for future development west of Nowra (Mundamia).

Further works are anticipated to commence early this month with notifications to affected residents to be communicated in due course.

Council appreciates your patience as we continue with replacement of this important sewer rising main.
