The Tapstar Show is a traveling roadshow performed throughout Australia. The show is a fun and engaging performance that incorporates singing, scientific demonstrations, puppetry, and audience participation.
Our shows provide an opportunity for schools to become actively involved in water awareness to help create a sustainable future.
Tapstar shows are free of charge to audiences within the Shoalhaven.
Show options
We have a range of live shows available to suit children of all ages:
Primary school shows
Aimed at children aged 5-12, this show is one of our most popular. It goes for around 45 minutes and with a recommended audience size of 100+.
This show is best performed on a stage in a school hall or performed outdoors under a covered outdoor learning area (COLA). With an inflatable set, an electrical supply is necessary.
Our primary school show includes a choice of either:
- The Water Show - Students discover where water comes from and how precious this resource is.
The show is fun and interactive with students being invited to come on stage and participate in the games, songs, and activities, or;
- The Wastewater Show - Students discover what should and what should not go down the drain.
This program was created to educate children on what happens to water as it enters drains and sinks and how our behaviour can affect the quality of water that ends up in our waterways.
Preschool shows
Our preschool show is aimed at the youngest members of our community and this show goes for around 30 minutes. This show has a recommended audience of 30+.
The messages remain the same as our primary school shows and include songs and interactivity, but without the storyline.
Community events
Always a crowd pleaser, the Tapstar Team loves to attend community events where they mingle with the crowd, promoting water conservation messages and current water strategies.
