Water restrictions
Shoalhaven Water’s Director Carmel Krogh has announced that Level 1 water restrictions will be lifted across the city from 15 June 2009.
The recent rainfall and the prospects of rain in the next three months have meant that it is possible to lift water restrictions.
The City’s three dams are at 97 percent full and a stable flow of between 156 and 615 megalitres into the Shoalhaven River is occurring. There are also good prospects for rain in the next three months. With these factors it has been decided by Council’s Drought Management Team to lift the Level 1 water restrictions.
All Customers are, however, encouraged to conserve water. For more information and tips on how to save water at home and in your business go to our Saving Water pages.
