Projects range from the innovative Reclaimed Water Management Scheme (REMS)
to the provision and upgrade of Sewerage Schemes in Lake Conjola, Berry,
Sussex Inlet, Currarong and Milton/Ulladulla.

 

We are working in conjunction with the Department of Land and Water Conservation (DLWC) on many projects and utilising the consulting services of well-known companies such as GHD.

REMS – Reclaimed water Management Scheme

One of the largest and most complex water-recycling schemes undertaken by an Australian water authority the Northern Shoalhaven REMS project will utilise up to 80 per cent of the reclaimed water from six Shoalhaven wastewater treatment plants to irrigate local dairy farms, golf courses and sporting fields

Berry Sewerage Scheme Upgrade

Commissioned in late 2005 the Berry Sewerage Scheme includes an upgraded wastewater treatment plant to improve water quality and cater for future growth and an upgraded transfer pumping station feeding wastewater from the village to the treatment plant

Lake Conjola sewerage scheme

The Conjola Regional Sewerage Scheme provides facilities for the villages of Bendalong, Manyana, Cunjurong Point, Berringer Lake, Fisherman's Paradise, Conjola Park, Killarney and Lake Conjola. Construction is nearing completion, including 36km of gravity sewers and two sewerage treatment plants.

Milton Ulladulla sewerage scheme

A scheme to upgrade the Milton-Ulladulla Sewerage system serves the communities of Milton, Ulladulla, Mollymook, Mollymook Beach, Narrawallee, Burrill Lake, Kings Point, Dolphin Point and Tabourie Lake. During 2009/10 in Milton/Ulladulla 13 pump stations are being upgraded.

Currarong sewerage scheme

Following Council’s resolution in late 2004 to install a primarily gravity sewerage system, the design was completed on this basis. Construction is nearing completion and connections will begin in the village in early December.

Tabourie Lake sewerage scheme

Construction is now complete in Tabourie Lake and connection has been made to the Milton/Ulladulla Sewerage Scheme. The scheme is unique in the Shoalhaven in that it is the first pressure sewer system for the City and these units have been performing well.

Kangaroo Valley sewerage scheme

The Village has a permanent population of about 340 persons however this increases during peak holiday periods to approximately 1400. A scheme has been proposed to provide centralised wastewater collection and treatment for the whole village. An update of the current scheme status as at December 2010.....
