This service is also offered to customers who may not be entitled to the Pension Rebate but who are experiencing serious financial hardship and are participating in the Payment Assistance Scheme.
The service is limited to "standard" tap fittings which are installed above stainless steel basins such as laundry and kitchen sink as well as taps fitted outside the house, such as meter taps and yard taps.
The tap re-washer service does not apply to the following non-standard fittings:
- Toilet cisterns
- Tap washers over porcelain basins
- Hot water systems
- Flick-mix taps
If a customer who is currently entitled to the Pension Rebate or using the Payment Assistance Scheme to help with their financial situation, please talk to us about any leaking taps at your property that meet the above criteria.
Our staff will be happy to register customer details and we will arrange for the leaking taps to be re-washered within a few weeks. In addition, we will be happy to undertake a Water Audit at the property at the same time. We can assess the water usage relative to individual circumstances and if possible suggest other ways that water use could be reduced.
